Community Outreach and Education

Sant La works diligently to inform and educate Haitian residents about important initiatives and topical issues.  Sant La's Creole-language educational television talk show, Teleskopi, has become a successful vehicle to inform, engage and reach the community. Educational Attainment and Advocacy

Sant La advocates for educational  achievement and promotes new models of parent and community involvement in neighborhood schools and in educational issues.

Strengthening Families Program

A dual program designed to promote effective parenting skills and positive development for youth ages 10 to 14.   Parent and child engage in activities that teach as well as entertain. The other component includes clinical services for parents and youth ages 11 to 17 experiencing social, economic and emotional challenges.

EDEN Place

United Way EDEN Place provides free, comprehensive services through educational workshops, one-on-one assistance, coaching, counseling, child behavior support, school advocacy and more. It is committed to help families better understand their children's schooling and broader development, as well as connect them to resources to help them succeed. Funded by the United Way of Miami-Dade.

Youth and Family Advocacy

Guidance and support to parents/ caregivers dealing with institutions that care for youth.  Support to youth and families include access to specialized services, as well as academic and enrichment services.
